I trained in bariatric and metabolic surgery at UNAM, at the Centro Médico Nacional 20 de Noviembre — the largest specialty hospital in Mexico's federal system. The training equivalent of Mass General or Cleveland Clinic.
I came back to Cancun because the patients I wanted to serve weren't getting the standard of care I had trained for. Bariatric surgery isn't a procedure. It's a six-month relationship between you and your surgeon — before, during, and especially after.
I work with a multidisciplinary team. And every WhatsApp message comes back from me, not from a coordinator with a script.
Residency at Médica Sur (2019–2023) after my M.D. at La Salle (2011–2017). Specialty training at Centro Médico Nacional 20 de Noviembre, UNAM (2023–2024).
Today I operate across five accredited hospitals — three in Cancun, two in Mexico City. I've cared for over 350 bariatric patients. Every license and certification is verifiable on its issuing public registry.
